Breeding Stock

The breeding stock at Maple Tree Farms have been carefully selected based on structure, fleece, and adherence to the breed standard as defined by the Navajo-Churro Sheep Association. You can read the standards by clicking here . While many of our rams and ewes are homebreds, we try to maintain a wide genetic base by selecting the best stock other breeders have to offer. We have had some outstanding individuals from the following breeding programs:

Puddleduck, Bideawee, Dry Creek and the Navajo Sheep Project.
